About Us

Who we are

Salcombe Interiors offers the full spectrum of building, renovation, refurbishment and decorating services in the South Hams, with a trusted team of local contractors led by husband and wife duo, Rob and Ellie, as well as experienced builder, Mark. 

Experience, qualifications, expertise, and a personalised approach mean that we are particularly focused on supporting homeowners who may not live locally, managing projects from start to finish, and keeping you informed so you can feel confident that your property is in safe hands.

Having started his career with a joinery and carpentry apprenticeship in Birmingham, Rob went on to qualify with City & Guilds and as a Chartered Surveyor. His expansive career in property development has spanned the length and breadth of the UK, featuring projects ranging from conservation and restoration to developing luxury apartments in Mayfair, before he and Ellie began Salcombe Interiors in 2019.

Rob has nurtured his skill and a passion for joinery throughout his career, which enables our team today to deliver bespoke carpentry projects from kitchens to cabinetry. In addition, his training in land management and construction, gives him the ability to understand and oversee projects of all sizes from start to finish around Salcombe, Kingsbridge, and in the surrounding areas. 

While Rob oversees the construction side of things, Ellie is a master of painting and decorating, ensuring that once the structural work is taken care of, the finishing touches are completed to exceptional standards. 

Meanwhile, Mark has more than 30 years’ experience as a builder, carpenter and joiner, and has spent most of his career in Salcombe and the surrounding area. He has worked in partnership with Ellie and Rob since 2022, and brings an extremely high level of skill, expertise, and enthusiasm to every project.

The magic comes together thanks to our team of local contractors, who are experts in their individual fields and bring their knowledge and reliable commitment to standards to every job.
